Africa’s most prestigious rally returns to the World Rally Championship after eighteen years.
Al-Attiyah made the announcement in a recent interview with WRC TV while in Spain last week.
“I wish to do this race because it looks fit for us. We know Safari from longtime and now its back. I think we have a good chance to do since we plan to do a few WRC events if we have time,” he said.
On top of the thirteen middle East and three Dakar rally titles, Al-Attiyah also holds two WRC2 titles.
