Ducati team rider Andrea Dovizioso is very excited to welcome MotoGP competition next season. Despite performing well for 2017 season, Dovi aims to be the world champion in 2018.
Andrea Dovizioso ended the 2017 MotoGP race with an almost perfect performance. Dovi almost became the world champion but he lost to Marc Marquez in the final series.
At the beginning of the 2017 Yamaha duo Maverick Vinales and Valentino Rossi was expected to be the final names competing to win the title, but they were passed by Dovizioso in the standings.
“There’s not much change next year because the team, the rider and the rules would be the same so I think we’ll start next season just like at the end of the 2017 season,” said Dovizioso quoted from Crash.net.
“I think the competitors will see us in a different way than the beginning of last season,” continued the 31-year-old rider.
Last season, Ducati and Dovizioso were not seen as the top candidates due to their less convincing performance at the preliminary test session.
“I just think positively because we know we are able to do it,” said Dovizioso about his chances to compete and win next season.
