MOTORSPORT NEWS WORLD ENDURANCE RACING

No need for a big budget

“Our general approach is to offer the professional racing experience on an amateur budget,” explains Ian Mayberry, vice president of business and marketing for the World Racing League, of WRL’s approach to hosting endurance racing events. “From the time racers show up to the time they leave, the experience they get from us is that of a professional race series.”

Mazda Motorsports has begun an effort to give more support to its racers in endurance racing, and has chosen WRL, along with ChampCar and American Endurance Racing, to focus its efforts in 2019.

Winners of select events and championships will be eligible for cash or parts points, depending on what they race and the event or championship. All Mazda racers are eligible for technical support and parts discounts through the Team Support Program.
