WITH SEVEN of the events eleven stages done and dusted Cronje was leading with a total time of 1:25.04.1. He was 54.6 ahead of the chasing Lategan who won stage 6 this morning.
The Dutch competitor guesting for Volkswagen, Hans Weijs was fourth +1:15.5 off the pace. Japie van Niekerk in the NAD Ford Fiesta was right behind Weijs on +1:018.7.
Topping off the top six was Wilro Dippenaar in a Toyota +2:15.4.
Class S 1600 was lead by Guy Botterill + 8:55.2 off the pace of the leader.
The PMC Gauteng Rally started yesterday and the event consisting of eleven stages will end there again this afternoon.
