Rally Corsica: Service E – A well-deserved break

Sebastien Ogier

4. ANDREAS MIKKELSEN/ANDERS JAEGER
“This morning we managed to close the gap to the front-runners. Obviously, it’s not where I want to be. In SS5 it wasn’t too bad. We’re going to work with the team to try and find a solution for this afternoon.”
7. JARI-MATTI LATVALA/MIIKKA ANTILA
“I didn’t drive well in the second stage. In SS7, it was better but I can still improve. The car’s working well even if I have some understeer at times. I’ve also got a few problems with the rear brakes. We have to find the right solution to be totally confident.”
6. DANI SORDO/CARLOS DEL BARRIO
“We’re trying to fight. I’ve got more confidence in the car now. We changed a few suspension settings after the first stage. The car’s working well. It was simply a problem of making the right adjustments.”
2. ELFYN EVANS/PHIL MILLS
“Perhaps I’m erring on the side of caution, but I’m not making any big mistakes. Sébastien Ogier is leading the rally in same type of car so it’s up to me to find some solutions!”
9. ESAPEKKA LAPPI/JANNE FERM
“The morning loop was really good. Yesterday, we didn’t really feel confident. It’s much better today. The team and us have done a good job. Conditions are also much better today. It’ll be tricky this afternoon so we’ll have to watch out and not blot our copy book!”
10. KRIS MEEKE/PAUL NAGLE
“The first stage was good, but the other two were more difficult. I haven’t got the same feeling as last year and I can’t understand why. We’ll try and sort things out with the team in the service park. The gap with Thierry is the same as this morning. We’re going to try and close it, and we also have to keep an eye on our rivals behind who are catching us.”
5. THIERRY NEUVILLE/NICOLAS GILSOUL
“I’m having fun and I think my pace is good. I’m pushing as hard as I can and we’re doing our best to keep things under control. We’re going to have another look at the set-ups and the brakes in the service park and then go back out and go pedal to the metal!”
1. SEBASTIEN OGIER/JULIEN INGRASSIA
“We wanted to maintain the gap. In fact, we’ve increased it a little. It wasn’t easy this morning as it was very narrow in places and you could hit something if you weren’t careful. We wanted to validate our notes and now we’re going to try and have some fun this afternoon.”
11. SEBASTIEN LOEB/ DANIEL ELENA
“It’s obvious that we’re still feeling disappointed after our mistake yesterday. Especially when we’re on the pace. But that’s life. You have to move on and we’re trying to enjoy ourselves today while remaining focused.”
