The French manufacturer will use its WRC involvement to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the iconic DS brand with a special livery for 2015, complete with red, white and gold detailing, most notably the ’60’ spread across the rear flanks.
In addition, Citroen has announced watch manufacturer Certina and automotive equipment firm Sparco have come on board as additional sponsors, with involvement in both its WRC and WTCC efforts.
“We’re very pleased that prestigious partners like Certina and Sparco share our passion and have decided to pledge their support to us,” said Yves Matton, Citroën Racing Team Principal. “We hope to defend their colours very successfully throughout the world, on some of the planet’s most beautiful and most difficult roads.”
Citroen Racing will feature an unchanged driver line-up of Ostberg and Meeke for WRC 2015, though the opening event will see legendary World Rally driver Loeb rejoin the team in Monte Carlo as part of the DS brand promotion.
The nine-time World Rally Champion left the WRC in 2013 and has been focusing on his duties with Citroen in the World Touring Car Championship alongside Jose Maria Lopez and Yvan Muller.
