SACCS 2019: SxS category introduced for 2019 season

The SxS are conquering the cross-country rallies all over the world, and it was just a question of time for the category to be introduced in the most competitive championship of the African continent – the South African Cross Country Series.
The news of the arrival of the SxS to SACCS was published in the championship official Facebook page:

Great news for the Side-by-Side racers – and future racers: The Interprovincial Challenge, as the SXS category has been known to date, has now been recognised by Motorsport South Africa as a National Class within the SACCS National championship. This means that, from 2019, the SXS Class will have full national status!

The category is rising fast, with the top teams driving SxS already winning races overall in some of the best championships, like the recent Rally TT Villa de Zuera, disputed this weekend in Spain and won by Daniel Sola in Can-Am Maverick.  In South Africa the level of competition is very high, but one couldn’t be surprised to see the best SxS scoring top10 results.
