Ford is set to add a hotter GT while showing a complete stable of high-performance racing and road cars, too Ford Performance is going big at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 4 with everything in its portfolio and a couple of bonus cars from the racing and rally world. The stunner, though, will be an enhanced, “ultra-high-performance” version of the Ford GT, teased in the photo above.
Expect an even more track-focused GT, probably with more aero, power and grip. It’ll also have a bigger price tag, we expect. If you happen to be in the area, look for global director of Ford Performance Hermann Salenbauch, who will deliver the news at the Ford stand in the drift paddock.
We’re not sure if the GT will go up the hill, but you will be able to see the new Focus ST, the new 760-hp Mustang GT500, the Ford Chip Ganassi Racing No. 66 Ford GT, the M-Sport Ford WRT Ford Fiesta WRC car, the NASCAR Ford Fusion, a 1980 Ford Zakspeed Turbo Capri race car, Ken Block’s Hoonitruck and Escort RS Cosworth and finally Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s RTR Mustang Drift car.
You can also check out a Euro-spec Ford Ranger Raptor, and tell Salenbauch that we need that car here!
We’ll get more info on the new GT as Goodwood approaches, so stay tuned.
