Weijs rolls out of Imperial Toyota Rally

The Sasolracing Volkswagen crew of Hans Weis and Bjorn Degand became the third top ten victim of the Imperial Toyota Rally at Cullinan when they rolled out of the event while lying third.Leeroy Poulter added another stage win to his tally when he won stage 11 and is leading the event with total time of  1:28:36.5.

Leeroy Poulter frontJapie van Niekerk in the NAD Ford Fiesta who is having the drive of his live on the rally, is still in second overall 22.7seconds behind Poulter. The demise of Weijs has helped Fekken gain a osition and he has moved into third, but he is 48>6 seconds behind the leader.

Lategan who has been holding station in fifth place since yesterday also gained and is now 4th +1:32.12. Mark Cronje in the Ford Fiesta has been unable to make any impression on the cars in front oh him this morning, but thanks to Weijs he is now in 5th overall 1:32.5 off the pace.

His hopes of a podium is has completely faded since there is only one stage left before the finish of the rally at the Zonderwater Correctional Facility.

In sixth place overall is Gugu Zulu in a Sasolracing Volkswagen Polo on 4:02.4, followed by Wiltro Dippenaar in the S2000 Challenge Cup Toyota Auris 4:11.5 behind the leader.

Chad van Beurden

In Class ZS1600 Ashley Haigh-Smith in a Ford Fiesta R2 has won the stage  and is second behind the leader, Chad van Beurden in a Volkswagen Polo. Van Beurden in leading the class with a total time of 1:40:39.2.Haigh-Smith is 23.2 seconds behind Van Beurden

The final stage is in progress at the moment. Poulter will extend his lead  in the championship race with this win.
